This story is about the people who inhabit one of the most severe and inaccessible spots on Earth, the Chukchi Peninsula, which is located on the north eastern edge of Eurasia, on the Bering and Chukchi Seas, separated by a narrow strait from Alaska. Humans and whales have inhabited it for thousands of years. The different heroes within the community are united by an ancient tradition of hunting for the whales. Individual characters tell the story: Wowa the hunter, Lizaveta the museum curator, Irina the owner of the only shop in the village of Inczoun Irina. They are all guardians of this mysterious corner of the world. Their stories will allow us to understand why they want to keep away from the modern world and save this magic place.
