Already unlocked? for access

Keeping up with an annual tradition for BIMA, the Port Townsend Film Festival once again welcomes a preview of short films prior to the 22nd festival which opens Sept 23 and streams virtually through Oct 3.

Our BIMA preview is introduced by Executive Director Janette Force and streams for three days 9/14 through 9/16. The films include PHOTO OP, THE CAPTAIN, DANCER BY THE SEA, THE BEAUTY PRESIDENT, THE AFFECTED, THOUGHTS and PRAYERS, and THE QUEEN OF BASKETBALL. This array of short films includes dramatic narratives, animation, inspiring profiles in courage, and just enough laughter to remind you that our world is a wonderful place! (72min) $15 ticket gives you access to all seven films.

In 1992, drag queen Joan Jett Blakk made a historic bid for the White House as an openly queer write-in candidate. Today, Terence Smith, the man behind the persona, reflects back on his place in gay rights history at the height of the AIDS crisis.
