A collection of short narrative films reflecting loss and challenge, told through unique perspectives, but always with strength, hope or humor. The PTFF Reviewer Team selected these favorites, noting the quality of both message and filmmaking in these gems.

Using her deceased immigrant mother’s recipe book, a Taiwanese American woman prepares lunches from her childhood and each dish evokes another memory. Based on a true story, this retelling examines the personal cost of fitting in as well as the recovery from cultural and familial loss.
