Building on a family legacy of exploration and environmental filmmaking, Céline Cousteau journeys to the Brazilian Amazon at the request of Javari tribal leaders to bear witness to the indienous communities' fight for survival. They are living on the edge, resilient survivors of a violent past, facing a wildly uncertain future, the last warriors in a global battle to preserve the precious resources of the Amazon rainforest, the most bio-diverse place on Earth. The granddaughter of Jacques Cousteau, Céline first travelled to the Amazon as a child aboard the Calypso in 1982. It inspired a life-long fascination with these tribes and established an ineffable connection to this place. The revelation of her journey is that if these tribes go extinct, it will trigger an irreversible chain of events that threatens the survival of all mankind.
