Anatomy of a fckboy follows a young director, as she makes a documentary delving into ELI, a misunderstood charming queer person who has recently had a smear campaign launched against them. As the filming commences, the director realizes that she might have been duped and has fallen for a fckboy who is using her.

The film starts with an interview of Eli talking about their dad, and is intercut with interviews of their friends and family who speak about them warmly. We then see that they have been the victim of a smear campaign. As our director, Billy, investigates, we’re pushed into the throws of a absurd queer community—influencers who all have opinions on fuckboys and restorative justice, niqaabi girls who beat up fuckboys for money, an anti-fuckboy protest. And at the center of all of it is Eli.

Billie realizes that Eli might be using her, and as the audience, we go along the same emotional journey that she does: falling in love with someone charismatic only to realize that there’s more to the story.
