Launched by the Hispanic Federation in 2016, FUERZAfest is the first LGBTQ+ Latine multidisciplinary arts festival in the Northeast. It was created to celebrate, uplift, and amplify the vibrant voices of Latine queer artists and changemakers while speaking honestly about the real challenges our community faces every day.

In Bahia, there is a beach popular with tourists and listed among the ten most beautiful gay beaches in the world: Barra. But the black and poor LGBTQIA+ community in Salvador prefers another place, at the foot of a favela: Gamboa.
