This program is recommended for persons 14+ due to Mature Content. Reelout programmers faced well over 1000 submissions this year and this program features 11 of the finest short films from around the globe; a dizzying trek of eclectic stories that also run the gamut of emotions.

CONTENT WARNING: Reelout recognizes that during this pandemic, we are all suffering to some degree with our mental health and while this program deals with mature subjects and does end on a positive note, audiences should be prepared for a sobering yet unfortunately honest portrayal of a coming-out story in the very first film El Nido (The Nest). We will be offering audiences a chance to join our LIVE ZOOM CHAT after the program to talk about the films (or just listen). This is our virtual cafe/pub chat nothing academic, just comfy casual! AT 5:40PM EST CLICK THIS LINK AFTER THE SCREENING to be whisked off to our Zoom Chat.

Filmed in one long take, the film tells the story of a mourning woman in her twenties, who is preparing to summon the ghost of her grandmother using a Ouija board at the laundrette where she died. While a storm rages outside, a loud-mouthed Drag Queens wiggles her way in disturbing her plans. What at first seems like an obstacle soon develops into something completely different. Is it possible that the Drag Queen can really help her on her journey?
