A young girl describes the struggles of life under quarantine in letters to her grandparents.

“I’ve been documenting family life since my kids were little, so when the pandemic hit I just kept on shooting. My 13 year old son Teddy has cerebral palsy and is much more vulnerable to the virus so we’ve been hunkered down since March with no end in sight. Until there’s a vaccine, we’re in lockdown. One of the things we’ve done each day since isolation started is take a walk in a park, usually far away from our busy neighbourhood and in the evenings when there are fewer people. The walks are something we all look forward to. We are nicer to each other in the fresh air.

This movie brings together three park walks over three months combined with Willow’s emails to her grandparents. I’d been so worried about Teddy, that I hadn’t realized, until about mid-way through the spring, just how hard the pandemic has been on Willow (8) and Emma (16). I wanted to make something from their point of view. I only got as far as Willow’s with this project.” – Kelly O’Brien
