This video artwork features audio recordings from a fishing trip in which a father explains how fish die to his niece, who is also featured as she tries to remember all of the numbers between one and twenty-five. The coinciding visuals sweep around a Wisconsin property, overlaid with a braided deerskin lampshade made by a Native grandmother. All elements come together to represent the braiding of sense memory.
