Synopsis: While embarking on a journey to buy water ice in West Philly, two women reach a tipping point in their secret relationship as they celebrate their unbeknown final day together.
Artist Bio: Aliyah Dominique Jefferies is a narrative and documentary filmmaker, photographer, and writer. Aliyah has supported shows such as Saturday Night Live, and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Aliyah won an Honorable Mention in the 2023 Latino & Native American Film Festival for their short documentary “Sol Blossom Crochet.” Aliyah also received the Philadelphia Indy Filmmaker Finishing Grant from Scribe Video Center for their first short narrative film titled, “Be Back By 3,” which screened at the Philly Film Showcase at the Philadelphia Film Society and in the American Gurl Seeking…film series at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. Aliyah currently lives in Philadelphia, where she dedicates her time to teaching documentary filmmaking to high school students and trying new recipes.
