In the quiet city of Genopolis, Dr. Fronius, a professor of psychology, begins a series of experiments, intending to overturn Darwin's theory. He aims to show that mice are capable of empathy. But the miracle does not last long. The experiment fails right before the professor makes his epochal discovery known to the public. Instincts prevail, and the unscrupulous older mouse will turn the younger one into his slave. Despite this fiasco and wanting the fame and respect of the guild, Fronius decides to make his discovery public nevertheless, concluding that the end does not change the initial scientific intention.
