In a near future, a genius scientist recounts how he created the first androids, exact replicas of deceased children. In a very distant future, a small community of children-androids lives on a remote island. The arrival of a female teenager, the only human, changes the pace of their life. Two androids embark on their last journey to find the Truth.

Director Biography - Vanessa Ly

French-American, writer-director-producer Vanessa Ly studied Modern Literature at the Sorbonne. Self-taught in cinema, she starts making films in New York where she resides.

Her short and medium-length films have been selected at the following festivals: Rencontres du Moyen Métrage de Brive (France), Edinburgh, Rotterdam, La Cabina Valencia (Spain), Côté Court Pantin. Her shorts have been shortlisted at the Director’s Fortnight, the Critics Week and the FiD.

Screenings include: Anthology Archives (NYC), Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin, Bophana Center (Phnom Penh), Roxy Theater (NYC).

She is the recipient of the Jameson Short Film Award and the Best Short Film Award at the Bangkok Film Festival with Mekong Interior.

Memories of the Future is her debut feature.
