A collection of powerful individual voices is documented in the short documentary, One of Many, reminding us of the anger, distrust, heartbreak and hope that merged together on January 21, 2017 at The Women’s March on Washington. The film captures the widespread, collective outrage that President Trump’s inauguration provoked while contextualizing it within historical human rights movements. Created by a team of young womxn artists across the country, the film serves as an intimate and artistic portrait of that day, featuring a range of interviews with people of all ages, socioeconomic backgrounds, religions, race and gender as they speak to us directly from nearly four years ago. Now four years later, the streets of every major city in America are once again filled with the people, demanding that their voices be heard. The film reminds us of how things have changed, how both our collective hopes and fears have been realized. Through the power of cinema, we aim to give a voice to womxn of all backgrounds and take an action-oriented approach to social justice.
