Eric is a troubled young man running away from an abusive household. Matthew is a lonely old man driving across the country with no one to talk to. Their paths cross on the side of a highway next to a cornfield in Indiana… and both lives are changed forever. As the two companions feel each other out, Matthew does his best to get the introvert out of his shell. But as Eric opens up Matthew begins to suspect his journey has a dark end, and that some wounds can't heal no matter how much time has passed.
