With fires blazing across the globe and technology replacing humans, only three Canadian provinces now employ fire tower lookouts as a critical line of defense in wildfire detection: gazing from one hundred feet above the forest, FIRE TOWER draws us into the lookouts’ world of extreme living conditions in remote landscapes and invites us to contemplate how solitude can inspire a different connection with nature, community and our creativity.
