In the snowy landscape of war-torn Kashmir, a young Muslim freedom fighter struggles through the picturesque landscape as he loses consciousness, succumbing to the loss of blood from a bullet wound. A humble potter finds the child near death and shelters him in his home where his wife tends to his wounds. The couple, apprehensive of the threats that harboring this child could bring to their doorstep, let down their guard to care for him as if he’s their own. The boy is lulled into complacency by the isolation and comforts of home life. As his wounds heal and he begins to find his place in his new surroundings, his past catches up with him when his former handler calls for a return to war.
