Coach is a short advocacy and impact based documentary challenging notions of Xenophobia through its protagonist, Coach Merlin.

"Ukuqoqisa" - a form of storytelling by children, usually told with stones and rocks collected, as subjects of the story. Ukuqoqisa can also be considered an indigenous form of play, where one kid, narrates a story to the other kids.&nbsp; In this film, we are introduced to Sizani, a cute little girl, who decides to keep herself entertained through this form of play. What starts off as a cute and adorable form of storytelling, later turns into a shocking reality. A cruel encounter told through the lips and eyes of a child. We see an innocent child turn into a victim, and it seems no one around her is aware of the horror she has been exposed to. Note: the screening of this film is preceded by a short introduction by the Director.

Father’s Day is a short film about Alakhe a 12-year-old boy who is raised by a single mother. Being the class nerd, Alakhe is selected to give a speech for a Father’s Day school event. He decides to go against his mother’s word and sets out to find the father he’s never met, which opens a can of worms. A young boy in search of his father who he has never met.

This short chronicles the life of Robert Sobukwe, President of the Pan-Africanist Congress. He organized a non-violent protest campaign that became known as the Sharpeville Massacre after 69 unarmed protesters were killed by police. Sobukwe was sentenced to three years in prison on grounds of incitement and held in solitary confinement on Robben Island for six years. Diagnosed with lung-cancer he was banished to Kimberley where he was placed under house arrest until his death in 1978. Note: There is no trailer for this short film. Eva, a young poet in her 20’s, sits in a genetic counsellor’s office feeling overwhelmed by the possibility that she may have an extremely high risk of breast cancer because of her family history. She tests positive and is advised to undergo a preventive mastectomy. Her best friend, Hannelie, and her loving fiancé, Daniel, try to support her, However their interactions and suggestions are triggering. The world around Eva associates breasts with sexuality, breastfeeding and attractiveness - something that this surgery directly threatens.&nbsp;She starts avoiding the issue, but a poetry festival is approaching that will put Eva in the spotlight. Has she waited too long to make a decision?
