This short chronicles the life of Robert Sobukwe, President of the Pan-Africanist Congress. He organized a non-violent protest campaign that became known as the Sharpeville Massacre after 69 unarmed protesters were killed by police. Sobukwe was sentenced to three years in prison on grounds of incitement and held in solitary confinement on Robben Island for six years. Diagnosed with lung-cancer he was banished to Kimberley where he was placed under house arrest until his death in 1978.
