SA Indie Film Fest 2020 x Moving #1 Short Official Selection

It is 1982. Mr. Lemchen comes to the cemetery in Portugal to read a memorial prayer for his friend, Emil Oppenheim, at the request of the two nuns who had cared for Oppenheim. Lemchen is not very observant, and explains that Kaddish is not meant to be recited by him alone, but he will do his best...

A heart-warming vignette that portrays a true story of inter-religious kindness. The Pope himself found this to be a positive and moving episode. The story's touching authenticity gives it universal appeal.
