Déla Otimi, a shop owner at the Mikoko market for more than twenty years, regularly complains to her husband, Apollinaire, Mayor of the town, about the many leakage problems that plague the market when it rains. When her husband announces that the shop owners' complaints had been heard and that the market would finally be renovated, she and the Association des Commerçants du Marché de Mikoko (AC2M) are ecstatic. But the euphoria soon fades when Déla discovers that Apollinaire has no plans to renovate the market, but rather to replace it with a shopping mall. Losing this market is impossible: it's her second home. To protect what she holds dear, Déla is prepared to do anything, even if it means becoming her own husband's rival.
