Through a series of intimate vignettes, we follow a queer couple , a Black woman and an Indian woman, as they experience the beauty and fragility of love. From the spark of their first date to the quiet tenderness of their first kiss, and finally, the ache of their first fight, their story unfolds in fragments of memory and emotion. The film culminates in a music-driven sequence where one woman reflects on what was lost and questions whether love is worth returning to. Blending narrative cinema with music video elements, this short explores the rhythm of heartbreak, memory, and rediscovery through a deeply personal lens.

Waste Time: A Complicated Love Story

Through broken memories and vocal mixtapes, a woman grapples with the complex, beautiful, and messy relationship with her ex Charlie. Is the former love of her life worth another chance? Or is the pain of the past too much to bear?

This poetic short film is a film about two lovers who are blessed to be in each other‘s company, but one of them is unsure of what they are, label wise or otherwise, and the rest of the film is the other partner’s poetic response reminding her of what she means to him.

land.scape notes on exile is a poetic journey of rediscovery and return that routes us through shifting landscapes. We follow the reflections of a seeker, who is mystically guided by Oshun, the venerated orisha of water and destiny. This meditative video poetry short stems from an ongoing project titled "Metamorphic Return to Fusion", which incorporates two original short poems, written and read by the director. This work is inspired by personally lived experiences, the writings of Édouard Glissant, especially "Poetics of Relation"; the essay “Reflections of Exile” by Edward Said; and the unrelenting daily courage of journalist, Bisan Owda.

As a self-confident up-and-coming talent, classical pianist Djuwa Mroivili seeks her way within the conservative white music world. Djuwa conducts historical research into the World Exhibition of 1883 on what is now the Museumplein in Amsterdam, where inhabitants from Dutch colonies were also on display. She discovers astonishing parallels with today's classical music performances and uses these new insights to take a radical path of her own.

Songs of Black Folk, a new musical tradition, brings together the largest gathering of black musical talent on a single stage in the Pacific Northwest, marking a new era for black artists in the PNW, on the meaningful backdrop of Juneteenth. Led by Ramon Bryant Braxton and Rev. Dr. Leslie Braxton, this extraordinary performance group establishes a new tradition, inspiring audiences and the next generation of Black artists. Inspired by this mission, we created a film to capture and celebrate black talent in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Ensuring their stories live beyond a single performance. As Artistic Director Ramón Bryant Braxton says, "I want these artists and audiences to be able to walk with their heads held high." With this film we celebrate and bring greater awareness to their extraordinary ambition, talent and musical power.

Pass the Baton: The Gary Hammon Story, follows the life and career of jazz legend Gary Hammon, a beloved member of Seattle's Central District, a historically Black community. Gary has spent his lifetime as a professional musician, composer, arranger, and educator. Inducted into the Jazz Hall of Fame in 2025, Gary is paving the way for the next generation by creating the Jazz Harmony Project, a program focused on music education, artist empowerment, and advocacy.
