Coldfire is an adaptation of one of the most celebrated Bengali author Nabarun Bhattacharya's (1948-2014) short story "Coldfire". In 2029, a global real estate tycoon Mr. K.P. Sarkar (Koushik Sen) comes across a salesman named G.B. (Somak Ghosh) who wants to sell a mysterious gadget called "Coldfire". A gadget that has been invented to improve and make funerals exclusive for the upper classes of society. COLDFIRE is a dystopian dark comedy, that talks about the unending class struggle in our society that has been going on for decades.

In 2032, a pandemic has killed most of the worlds’ population. Zealandia is the last territory to remain virus free. Refugees flock to there hoping for a better life if they can get past the oppressive border controls. Eva, is heading back home along with a group of refugees. She carries a mysterious bag with a concealed countdown timer which is taken away at the border. Eva must fool the system, escape the security androids and rescue her bag before time runs out.

In a near future where social classes are physically split into parallel layers of reality, a promising young government worker must decide if she’s willing to risk her status and way of life to pursue the love of someone she can only remember in her dreams.
