Naples. At the end of Via Foria majestically stands the palace of the National Archaeological Museum, which houses a monumental quantity of collections and exhibits. All the human experiences of the ancient age are represented in the works hosted in the museum—a unique site worldwide, showcasing the extraordinary legacy of the findings from Pompeii.

Every day, women and men working in the museum struggle with delicate interventions requiring care and time and constant maintenance work, or dealing with statues and artifacts. In the illusory immobility of the large Bourbon building, a whirlwind of activity provides new breath to statues, objects, and findings. The film follows the unceasing effort to prepare the exhibition halls that will host the collection of the Magna Graecia. A priceless archaeological heritage brought to light from museum storage and never before shown to the public.
