Charlotte is a forgotten Spanish movie star who lives with Lee, her young and faithful Taiwanese companion on the outskirts of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Together they have built their own unique, playful world. Charlotte learns that the director who decades ago brought her to the fame is traveling to Paraguay to shoot his last film. Despite Lee's resistance, she rents a motorhome and sets out on a journey in search of something more than the leading role that she feels belongs to her. Once in Paraguay, the trip turns into waiting. They find out that the director has forgotten his notebook at the hotel and he will be coming back to get it, but after a while his return is unclear and they decide to go after the news of a casting call in the city but there is nothing there either, just a search for elderly ladies for a commercial. Charlotte refuses to be part of this world that she hates, but the commercial holds might hold a possibility of reaching to the film. Her goal seems to move further away again after she is stopped by Interpol for an unusual event and the news of her arrest will lead her to meet the director. Vicissitudes, encounters and misunderstandings, fears and hopes, fights and reconciliations, longings and dreams, traverse their journey and this story.
