At the age of 11, she moved with her family to St. Petersburg, Russia where she grew up. She received a medical degree from St. Petersburg State University, but after graduation, she decided to pursue her true passion for filmmaking. Hasmik was accepted into the directing department of Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK), where she studied under the guidance of Alexander and Vladimir Kott and Anna Fenchenko in the feature film workshop. During her time at VGIK, Hasmik directed three films, including APNEA (2019), SIDE BY SIDE (2021), and HARISA (2022). These films have been recognized at various student film festivals with numerous awards. Hasmik's short film, 250KM, originally began as a student project, but she developed it into a full-fledged independent film. With her passion for storytelling and her unique perspective on the world, Hasmik's films capture the essence of the human experience. She continues to create thought-provoking films that inspire and challenge audiences.

Between professional ethics and family obligations, she is faced with a difficult decision. <img src="https://seefilmla.org/eventive-images/2024/dk-director.jpeg" style="float:left; margin-right:10px;">Sandro Rados, grandson of a documentary filmmaker and photographer, was exposed to visual storytelling at an early age. While attending the College of Art and Design in Zurich and working as a production &amp; casting assistant in various film productions, he began directing his films. He has been studying directing at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy since 2018 and is was in Seoul at the Korean National University of Arts to deepen his directing skills.For his latest commercial film, he was awarded numerous awards. Next to a Staff Pick on Vimeo, he received a Young Director Award in Cannes, an 1.4 Award in London, a Golden German Advertising Film, Spotlight and ADC Award. He was also nominated a new directing talent by the Ciclope Awards in Berlin. His latest short film, funded by ARTE &amp; SWR, premiered at the Hof International Film Festival, is being shown on television and at film festivals across Europe and was nominated for the German Short Film Award.

Jelena is a photojournalist on an investigative editorial team in Belgrade that campaigns for basic democratic rights. Her journalistic work is her passion, but the atmosphere around her has been threatening for some time and she is increasingly becoming a target of right-wing populist groups. When one day the editorial office is violently attacked and shortly afterward her daughter Lara is threatened, Jelena decides - much to the relief of her mother Branka - to leave the country for the time being. And so she leaves her lover Nikola behind and sets off for Hamburg with her daughter. In Germany, she continues to pursue her vocation but soon encounters fierce hostility and hate attacks there as well. She takes every risk to uncover the truth. <img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/e5f94c379d87dd9775103ce7bccf7284.jpg" style="display: inline; float: left; margin: 0px 1em 1em 0px;">Tamara Denić was born in former Yugoslavia in 1992 In 2016, she graduated with a bachelor's degree in art and multimedia and a minor in media informatics at LMU in Munich with an interactive, experimental short film. After that, Tamara worked as a dubbing recording manager, film production and editorial assistant, and video editor in Berlin. At the same time, she acted in independent theatre groups and experimented with video performances. However, Tamara soon devoted herself increasingly to narrative short film projects. Alongside her film projects, paintings and photographs, Tamara experiments with animations and VJing. 2022 she graduated with a master’s degree in film directing at Hamburg Media School with a scholarship from Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation. Her short film GET HOME SAFE (13 min.) has been screened at 50 festivals worldwide, a.o. Camerimage 2022, and received numerous awards, including the Engelke Short Film Award of International Film Festival Emden-Norderney and the Special Jury Prize of the 21st International Student Film &amp; Video Festival of Beijing Film Academy. Her graduation film ISTINA (‘Truth’, 29 min.) she shot in Serbia and Germany. The short won the Audience Award for a Mid-Length Film at the 44th Max Ophüls Film Festival. He has worked in short films, features, commercials, and video art installations in Greece, Germany, and Vietnam. Since 2017, he has been teaching Film, Media, and Communication at HHU &amp; SBC Universities in China. He took part in Berlinale Talents (2013) and Sarajevo Talents (2014), where he won the YapimLab award for Pack&amp;Pitch. His short fiction film, King Kong, premiered at Rotterdam IFF in 2014 and continued in QueerLisboa, Split, Sguardi Altrove, Pink Screens, and Queersicht. In 2020 he received the SNF Artist Fellowship Program – ARTWORKS. Baby is his feature debut, developed with the support of the Greek Film Center, First Films First (Goethe Institute), and Sam Spiegel Film Lab.
