Fram, a friendly little polar bear, and his mother, Nala, live alone in an isolated area at the North Pole. Nala introduces her cub to the outside world with all its beauty and magic. The seemingly uneventful frozen world comes to life with the arrival of the polar day. The two explore it together. Fram learns how to catch fish, discovers the Northern Lights, has fun with his own shadow, travels on ice floes alongside Nala, and visits a cave where we find out it’s the special place where Nala met his father. However, after an unexpected event caused by global warming, Fram is separated from his mother. Her last advice, before their separation, is for Fram to be brave and wait for her on a piece of ice near the shore. The piece of ice drifts away from the shore, and Fram floats aimlessly, far from the shore and his mother.

Ștefan Buzea is a filmmaker and animator with a long-standing passion for storytelling through animation. With experience in both 2D and 3D animation, he has worked on a variety of projects, from TV series and feature films to short independent works. His journey in animation started with traditional hand-drawn techniques and gradually evolved to include digital tools and real-time workflows. Over the years, he has been involved in different aspects of production—direction, animation, compositing—always seeking new ways to bring characters and stories to life. FRAM is one of his latest projects, and he is grateful for the opportunity to share it with new audiences.
