WIND HORSE, a poetic Turkish film which borrows its title from Asian shamanism where the term is used as a metaphor to describe the human soul. Through a story of two shepherds from Anatolia, one of whom becomes a celebrated jockey, the film juxtaposes human desire for success with the toll on the spirit of freedom in both humans and horses.
Born in Bitlis in 1980, Sidar Inan Ercelik began his professional career in theater before crossing over to film. The three short documentaries Ercekik has made to date have all screened at various festivals. Having completed WIND HORSE, he is currently working on his second feature documentary, ZÜLFIYE: THE STORY OF PINK CAP.
