MY DIGITAL NOMAD is an intimate, first person documentary about nomadic lifestyle, explored through the relationship between a mother and daughter throughout countries and years. Images from the family archive paint a deeply personal portrait of this mother-daughter dynamic, sparking a conversation on motherly responsibility, searching for freedom, and everything in between.

Producer and director Kata Oláh has worked in the industry all her life, mainly as a story editor and a producer. Since shifting her focus to directing a few years ago, Oláh’s films have received several national and international awards. Her first feature length documentary film, distributed in Hungarian cinemas, THE BAR MITZVAH BOYS (2017) was nominated to compete in the PRIX EUROPA 2018, Berlin. She was awarded the ‘Best Editor’ prize in 2019 for her TV documentary COUTURE BEHIND THE IRON CURTAIN by The Hungarian Film Academy. Her latest short documentary MIGNON (2019) received the ‘Best Short Documentary’ award at BIDF 2019. After a year festival tour, the film was nominated for ‘Best Documentary 2020’, by the Hungarian Film Academy. She is recently working on two feature length documentaries, one in post-production, the other in development. Oláh is a board member of the Hungarian Documentary Film Association.
