In 2011, Faith travels from England to Serbia to learn the gypsy accordion. She meets Roma violinist Branko, and despite language barriers, they fall in love through music. Captivated by their musical chemistry, they marry and take their duo abroad. This intimate story chronicles the relationship between musicians Faith and Branko over seven years.

Catherine Harte is an Irish director who completed her MA in Documentary Directing at NFTS, tutored by Kim Longinotto and Sean McAllister. She also has a background in Visual Anthropology. Her NFTS graduation film PROFESSIONAL FOREIGNER premiered at Sheffield Doc Fest 2017, exploring the bizarre jobs available to white people in India. In 2017, she directed a short documentary for BBC4 and the BFI called ACCENTS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS, about a Polish immigrant taking elocution lessons to sound British. Harte has been drawn to themes such as culture clash, the immigrant experience, parallel perspectives and perceptions of the other. She makes intimate films and is equally drawn to moving stories and humour. Apart from directing independently, Catherine works as a DV director for TV broadcasters such as BBC and Channel 4.
