SNAKE tells the bitter-sweet story of the friendship between a nine-year-old daredevil Mario and an eccentric, gay young man. Challenged by the fear and prejudices of Mario's parents, the two characters navigate friendship and acceptance in a remote Macedonian small town.<img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/ea561136df8f50e6161ba26704dcff7f.png" width="150"> Born 1985 in Macedonia, Andrej I. Volkashin graduated film directing at NATFA in Sofia, Bulgaria. His short documentary NOTHING IN THE AIR premiered at Sofia International Film Festival in 2008. His graduation project KINDER SURPRISE (2011) was awarded the Audience Award at the SIFF; A medium length musical comedy SHUSH…SING TO ME (2013) premiered at the Vilnius IFF 2014 and is already enjoying a cult status in Bulgaria. That same year, he participated at Berlinale Talents and Sarajevo Talents. His short script FICUS (2018) was selected in the program Sarajevo, City of Film and premiered during the Sarajevo IFF in 2018. Volkashin is developing his first feature film THE SWEET BITTERNESS OF RIPE POMEGRANATES with TorinoScriptLab.

It's a late December night. Amalia is a career driven woman in her mid-thirties and a mistress in a complicated love affair with a complicated man. While waiting to hear from her lover, Amalia encounters a twelve year-old boy selling used books in the parking lot of a fast food drive-thru. She decides to "save" him from the long hours of waiting in the cold winter's night for his bus to arrive in the morning by giving him a ride home. The more they drive into the night the less certain it is who is saving who... <img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/21e011707300df1ef2c42ee4fa1a15e7.png" width="150">Ana Pasti is an Eastern European actress from Romania. In 2011, she won a Fulbright Grant and completed an MFA in acting at USC in Los Angeles. She has performed on both continents in over 25 theater productions, numerous short films, award winning features and popular TV series. She became interested in writing while collaborating in developing two ensemble theater pieces based on Sophocles’ Greek tragedies Electra and Trojan Women, both performed at Dock Scene Theater in LA. She also created two solo performance shows of Because I Can Or The Things I'd Do For Love, which was selected in Hollywood Fringe Festival. Although she never took a screenwriting class before writing IN BETWEEN, she wrote the script for the short A DAY FROM A LIFE OF A PAY PHONE (2013), in which she also starred as the leading role. IN BETWEEN is Pasti’s directorial debut.

Olja, a disaffected 18 year-old girl, lives in a family filled with misunderstanding. When her brother's girlfriend visits, she faces the fact that the person she values most is embarking on his own, separate life journey. Furious with everybody around her, Olja does not know how to cope with this loss. <img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/6e9eb79bf1e8befe4100e729aa80b8cc.png" width="150"> Jovana Avramović is a film director from Pozega, Serbia. She graduated from FDA, Belgrade, where currently working on M.A. module of Film and Television Directing. She works as a casting director in casting agency “Pajper”, Belgrade. Past projects include&nbsp;TIŠINA / SILENCE&nbsp;(2017),&nbsp;BEOGRADSKA TRILOGIJA / BELGRADE TRILOGY&nbsp;(2018), and&nbsp;FLOW&nbsp;(2019).
