Amelia Waterford has always strived for greatness. When she is elected President of the University of Australia Law Society in a landslide victory (five votes to six), her disposition is unchanged. To help with her endeavours, Amelia recruits a rag-tag group of fellow law students with absolutely nothing better to do. Think Abraham Lincoln's famous Team of Rivals, except with more rivalry. Their questionable methods and panicked compromises illuminate why a world with people like these as our future leaders is irredeemable. But the collapse of society, it's also very funny to watch! Eventually, our seven will learn to work together and understand the importance of true friendship. Nobody gets through a law degree without it.

The world of Boy•Friends flips social paradigms: being gay is not an issue, the jocks of the struggling Intramural Flag Football team are the underdogs while the a cappella singers are the popular kids, the frat boys are the tame and rule-abiding students while the Women’s Rugby Team is the drug dealing muscle, and the ladies are always in charge. The show moves past the cliché gay-best-friend-sidekick and homophobic-straight-man relationship we see so often to present a modern world where a gay guy and straight guy can just be friends. Best friends.
