The first transgender and gender nonconforming choir in California, the Trans Chorus of Los Angeles prepares for their 2016 debut performance. With only six months to rehearse, choir director Lindsey Deaton is faced with the challenge of orchestrating a diverse group of mostly untrained singers. Most have never performed in a choir before, many are managing physical changes that affect vocal range and voice, but all are committed to giving their community a voice. Out Loud takes us on a journey through physical and emotional transformations of this inspiring group of change makers.
