A Burmese rock star forced into exile after the 2021 military coup. Now working for Amazon in the United States, he struggles to rebuild his life while carrying the weight of a revolution he can no longer witness. Water Cooler
The Trump administration has turned immigration courts into deportation traps. As ICE agents wait to arrest their targets outside of courtrooms, their banal conversations clash with the severity of their actions. This documentary short — filmed in New York's Federal Plaza from November 2025 through January 2026 — captures the virulent callousness of ICE agents detaining migrants who are trying to stay in the country legally. --La administración Trump ha convertido los tribunales de inmigración en trampas de deportación. Ivan and Argo, both 67 years old, once served in the Soviet Army and later built their lives on the land — one in Ukraine, the other in Estonia. Ivan, a Ukrainian farmer and veteran of the ongoing war, takes care of the farm while his son fights at the front.

Up in the north, Argo cultivates his peaceful Estonian fields, yet feels the shadow of war drawing nearer. Haunted by memories of the USSR and aware of Russia’s growing aggression, he joins friends to collect vehicles and deliver them to Ukraine.

Their stories unfold in parallel: two men shaped by the same empire, once witnesses of independence, now standing at the edge of losing it again. Being occupied on their fields, both find a way to defend what they love — their land, their family, their freedom.

Blending documentary realism with gentle animation (with animator Anastasia Falileieva), the film explores how ordinary farmers, bound by soil and memory, become silent guardians of freedom in a world of war.
