A tragic incident on Greece’s northern border strikes a local family of three, pushing them to face their own personal impasses, while having to deeply consider the price for their actions. This social-family drama takes place in 2015, in a border village where hundreds of migrants gather every day with the goal to illegally cross the border into Northern Europe. The film was nominated in 17 categories in the 14th edition of the Hellenic Film Academy Awards, and won the Best Film Award along with nine other accolades. It was selected as the Greek entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 96th Academy Awards.

Axinos

The film follows the first systematic underwater archaeological survey around Kasos Island. Kasos has a remarkable maritime activity, from Homeric time to the previous century. Maritime archaeologist Xanthi Argyris, leads a team of archaeologists, scientists and technicians. They are diving in search of ancient wrecks. They are completing the fourth year of maritime archaeological survey in the area. After scanning 60 km of shoreline, they have discovered ten shipwrecks. Covering all periods from ancient times to the present. After 220 dives and 320 hours underwater, 108 selected archaeological finds were recovered. Studying shipwreck locations and all these items add tiles in the large mosaic of the Aegean Sea's underwater archaeological map.

The Fotinos family vineyard in Napa Valley, CA has been making wine for over 50 years. Certain challenges such as the wildfires in 2017 and 2020 presented a serious threat to businesses in the region such as this one. This film follows Margaret Fotinos Morearty and vineyard manager Jesus Romero Jr. as they reflect on the history of the property and what grape-growing means to them.

Michelle, a lonely 17-year old girl, child of a broken family, falls for Angelos, a handsome, domineering young man. Three stories, each involving characters whose actions may mean the difference between life and death, are defined by their search for redemption from their past, their guilt, their loneliness.

There is public silence about the issue of Jewish properties in Greece. The documentary looks into why this cycle of silence needs to be broken, and how this could be done without turning the process into a people’s court. It also seeks the views of public opinion through a survey conducted in collaboration with the University of Macedonia.

Restor(y)ing

In the 1980s, as caravan tourism gained popularity, hundreds of Cypriot holidaymakers chose to permanently station their caravans along the state-owned coastal areas of the island.  Settled on a beach called Spiros on the Mediterranean coast, this tight-knit group, consisting mostly of pensioners, transformed a seaside plot into an improvised beach 'resort,' despite lacking official permission to stay in the area.  The film observes inner moments of how summer unfolds into Cyprus's last remaining improvised caravan park.

After a telephone from his old-time friend, a grocer, telling him that his favorite grape variety has finally arrived, a growing urge to reclaim his old freedom and independence make him secretly escape against the doctor’s warning. An unexpected incident seriously reverses the couple’s fragile daily routine, while unpredictably rekindles the spark of their life long flame. Can you ever forget love?

The Armchair on the Pavement (H Πολυθρόνα στο Πεζοδρόμιο)

Discover the hands-only drifting! Panayiotis Grigoriou is the only active paraplegic Drift driver and SL 2018 Champion of Greece. This short documentary gives us the opportunity to get a brief glimpse of his racing career and the struggles he is forced to overcome daily. Panayiotis Grigoriou (Spinnerakos) was born in Chalkida and lived an ordinary life. At the age of 9, he found a lipoma in the waist, and after the second operation, he was left disabled at the age of 13. At 33, he found a way with the Greek federation to create the procedures so a disabled person could get a racing driving license and compete with non-disabled drivers. His dream comes true, and he participates in the Greek Drift championship. In 2018, he was crowned Greek Drift champion in the Street Legal category.

Spinnerakos a.k.a. Panayiotis Grigoriou

A railroad crossing in the middle of nowhere. Two log cabins facing each other. All around are yellow hills and an open horizon. Two watchmen: The lonely Giannis, who never leaves his post, and the relaxed Antonis, who follows the rhythm of the landscape. Every now and then a voice from an old radio announces the arrival of a train. The two guards manually lower the bars. Nothing seems to disturb their daily routine until love invades, shattering all certainty.

"Αποδοχή – Acceptance” is a poignant documentary short film that tells the story of a man whose life is severely disrupted by a car crash and an unjust legal outcome. Unable to work or walk, hurt both physically and emotionally, he turns away from society, quits his day job and becomes an animal breeder, a shepherd, seeking solace and meaning in his newfound connection with animals. The film explores his journey towards forgiveness and resilience, challenging conventional notions of fulfilment and inviting viewers to reflect on their own perceptions. " Αποδοχή - Acceptance" is a compelling exploration of the human spirit's capacity to find peace in unexpected places and love unconditionally.

In 1977 a group of friends created A.K.O.E. – the Greek Homosexual Liberation Movement. The movement’s magazine – “Amfi” – and its offices at the legendary basement on Zalongou street, will become a place of refuge for the Greek LGBT community until 1990. AKOE and Amfi, will be the first reference points for a community that is just beginning to gain consciousness and organise. It will be a revolution for the right to exist, the right to happiness, the right to love.

Amphilochios: Saint of Patmos explores the life and spiritual legacy of a beloved twentieth-century saint from the Greek island of Patmos. Filmed over the course of the first celebration of his April feast day in 2019, locals, and pilgrims to the island, share their stories of the saint. The new MAUTHAUSEN recordings were the last official releases published with the permission of the world-renowned Greek composer and political activist Mikis Theodorakis (ZORBA, Z) just one month before his passing on September 02, 2021. Iakovos Kambanellis’s unpublished text, was written during his visit and concert in Mauthausen Liberation and Commemoration Ceremony ‘88, coming now to life in its natural place -Mauthausen Memorial, Austria 2022- for the first time.

"The Rental Around the Corner" is a story of the last VHS rental Club of the chain Video Land. That was a small family business blooming in the 80's. The last owner, Eleni Boneli, worked there for almost 34 years, since she was a 12 year old girl. This is the last day before the end of this era, when also, the whole block was under construction.

It is the early 20th century on a dystopian Greek island. Hadoula , a widow who lost her husband, loannis Fragkos, at a young age, is a woman who has learned how to survive in a male-dominated and extremely patriarchal society. Hadoula carries a difficult burden within her. Like a baton passed on to her from her mother, and the generations before her, she is meant to accept the belittling and degradation of women. Hadoula reacts. Her personal, internal revolution soon comes forth. The victims of her outburst are the little girls of the island, whom she sets free from the social and economic burden that their existence entails by taking their lives. Her actions will bring her face to face with the law. She leaves her home and escapes to her refuge, nature. But as much as her faith and morals dictate that she did the right thing, her transgenerational trauma follows her everywhere. And the end comes as redemption. A story based on Alexandros Papadiamantis' landmark "social novel" of the same name, a staple of Greek literature. Director Eva Nathena’s sensational feature film debut has been a critical success in Greece, and the biggest box-office success there in 2023; and received much acclaim for the powerful performance of Karyofillia Karabeti.

Murderess (Φόνισσα)

A failed poet discovers that his mother has marketed him as a local "Pythia", bringing in customers at night to listen to his recitation. First he gets angry but then he decides to take control of the business, leading the whole thing to a total disaster.

Professional Sleepwalker  (Επαγγελματίας Υπνοβάτης )

Based on the book by Nikos Kazantzakis. The story takes place in Crete in 1889. The central hero is Captain Michalis, an uncompromising Cretan, whose sacred duty is the liberation of Crete. However, the moment he meets Emine, wife of his blood brother, Nouribeys, he is possessed by a demon. Temptation will not leave him alone and distracts him from his duty.
