Tohono O'odham long-distance runner Marlinda Francisco is joined at sunrise by Austin Nuñez, Chairman of the San Xavier District, Tohono O'odham Nation, and Gayle Hartmann of Save the Scenic Santa Ritas. As we follow Marlinda on her journey along the Arizona Trail in the Santa Ritas' Rosemont Valley, we learn more about new threats to this part of the Tohono O'odham ancestral land. Called Ce:wi Duag, or Long Mountain, in the language of the Tohono O'odham, the film explores the O'odham's ancient connection to this place.
