Put the Brights On pairs edited interviews with rural Transgender subjects with original 16mm and s8 visuals as well as found footage to create a non-fiction experimental look at Trans people who prefer not to live in the city. Recorded and shot in "Greater Minnesota" but relevant to the national focus on the rural/urban divide.&nbsp;Put the Brights On was funded in part by the Lake Region Arts Council 2019-2020 Literary/Performance Fellowship with McKnight Foundation funding.

Veni Etiam is a moving and poetic transgender documentary film. It tells the story of a gondola and its gondolier navigating through the canals of Venice . The gondoliers journey is a metaphorical passage .

Unboxing is an observational experimental documentary that begs the ever-provoking question: Where do we exist? Where does identity live? Where is our history if our physical history doesn't feel real? The box of old memories I go through in this film is a symbol of entrapment; the objects within representing different selves. The film unpacks internal feelings of disconnection from the past, assigned roles of self and external labeling. I have slightly anthropomorphized the box, exerting its will; closing in on me, as a way to convey how I envision the universe always pushing towards healing.

An abstract short documentary on locating identity, challenging limiting frameworks of the mind, redefining the past, and creating a new, harmonic self.

By looking into my nonbinary trans identity, I review my personal and film archives in order to understand the path that has led me to where I am. As a queer artist and through voice, body and image experimentations, I wonder about my films and my life: what is my place in this world?
