Justice Singleton is a Black trans director, writer, educator, stand-up comedian, poet, and drag burlesque artist based between New Orleans and Mississippi. The eldest child of Academy Award-nominated director John Singleton, Justice grew up steeped in the film industry before forging their own distinct path as a multidisciplinary storyteller.

A graduate of Loyola Marymount University, Justice has worked across TV and film, and founded Justify Writers, a meditative writing program focused on radical education and systemic storytelling. Justice’s work has been featured at the BlackStar Film Festival, Cannes, Academy Museum, Studio in the Woods, and more. Justice was the 2024 Winner of the New Orleans Pitch Festival for Cockroach. Off-screen, they run a trans-queer farm in Mississippi, and continue to write, perform, and teach across the country.
