SILO: Presented by Oscilloscope with a portion of the proceeds to benefit Farm Aid
Farm Aid has been standing with our nation’s essential family farmers and ranchers for more than 35 years, connecting them to the critical resources they need to thrive and feed us all, and providing emergency assistance to farmers when they need it most. Farm Aid also works tirelessly to develop and advocate for long term strategies and policies that keep farmers on the land, stewarding our soil and water and strengthening our communities.
SILO is a film that illustrates some of the dangers and stresses associated with modern day agriculture, especially as they relate to independent farm operations in rural communities. Inspired by true events, it explores the harrowing experience that strikes a community when a teenage boy becomes the victim of a grain entrapment. As corn becomes quicksand inside the 50-foot silo, members of the community must come together to try and save him.
Farm Aid is honored to receive a portion of the proceeds from your screening of SILO. To learn more about Farm Aid and support their work to strengthen farmers and build a family farm-centered food system that benefits all of us, please visit www.farmaid.org.
