Enrique was separated from his mother at birth and Ascensión was forced to hand over her daughter after giving birth to her. Both are victims of the “stolen children” conspiracy; a slippery slope for the Spanish government. Whilst they continue their legal battle, they’ll continue with their searches and live alongside blame, rejection, and the construction of their own identities.
