After a day of being relentlessly ridiculed and bullied at school, a teenage girl Stephanie is driven to think that her life and her stutter won't get any better and there's no way out. Hopelessly upset, she rides to her local hardware store to get what she needs to hurt herself. At the counter, she meets Delores, a girl from her school. Delores recognises that Stephanie is in trouble and strikes up a conversation about their apparent mutual love of 90's grunge music. Stephanie doesn't engage in the conversation at first, but Delores nonchalant attitude towards her stutter puts her at ease. By the end of their brief conversation, fearing there might not be another chance, Delores offers Stephanie some comfort and company, which she takes. Through this chance meeting, Stephanie finds acceptance and a reason to not go through with her original plan.

A teenage girl struggling with her debilitating stutter has a life changing moment in a chance meeting.

Hailing from disparate social and economic backgrounds, Karl and Albert bond over their desire to escape their country and move to Barcelona, in search of a happier life. With their mutual sense of humor and provocative ideas, they decide to document their youthful adventures, private conversations and sentiments with the dream of one day being able to share their passions publicly and possibly be the voice of their generation. Upon settling in the new city and realizing that life is not as easy as they had presupposed, their resistance to normalcy finds them at odds with each other and walking divergent paths.
