(Animal Behaviour, Ricky Sprocket: Showbiz Boy, Bob and Margaret, Bob's Birthday)
David Fine and Alison Snowden are Oscar-winning filmmakers based in Vancouver. They created the acclaimed animated series Bob and Margaret—Canada’s highest-rated animated series—and the Oscar-winning short film Bob’s Birthday. Their recent short film, Animal Behaviour, has garnered multiple awards, including a Canadian Screen Award and their fourth Oscar nomination.
They also produced the kids' series Ricky Sprocket - Showbiz Boy for Nickelodeon. After graduating from the National Film & Television School in the UK, they made award-winning films such as George and Rosemary, which received an Oscar nomination. They co-developed the hit series Peppa Pig and Shaun the Sheep and created the character Timmy, who stars in his own series. Fine and Snowden continue to influence animation through their innovative storytelling and artistic vision.

As an animation historian, Keith Blackmore has been a passionate cheerleader and a voice for all-things animated in the Vancouver area for almost 30 years. As one of the producers of the SPARK ANIMATION Festival and an active member of the local SIGGRAPH chapter, Keith has presented, interviewed and moderated at many festivals, local and national.
Since 1995, Blackmore has educated, entertained and inspired students in the history of animation and media studies at the Vancouver Film School. When he’s not reading, teaching or talking about animation, he’s watching it.
