Chris Godfrey

Chris Godfrey has been working in visual effects for over 30 years and co-founded Animal Logic with Zareh Nalbandian in 1991. He supervised the effects of many films such as Babe: Pig In The City, Moulin Rouge!, Australia, The Great Gatsby, and Hacksaw Ridge. For over 10 years, Chris has been working independently as a Visual Effects Supervisor and recently wrapped on Mortal Kombat.

Justen Marshall

Principal Engineer // Animal Logic


Justen Marshall has over two decades of experience in the animation and visual effects industry and is currently the Principal Engineer at Animal Logic's Sydney studio.


Justen’s work helps Animal Logic’s digital artists to create effects such as the sparkling particle systems that turned Kylie Minogue into 'the green fairy' in Moulin Rouge! and the generation of the bioluminescent, vaporous ‘Twins’ in Matrix: Reloaded.


Additional credits include Happy Feet, Legend of the Guardians: The Owls Of Ga’Hoole, The Great Gatsby, The LEGO Movie Franchise and the Peter Rabbit movies.

Krista Jordan

Head of Animation // Australian Film, Television and Radio School


Krista Jordan has over twenty years of professional industry experience in creative and commercial filmmaking. Her professional film credits include The Matrix, The Matrix Reloaded, Rabbit-Proof Fence, Moulin Rouge!, and the Academy Award-winning Happy Feet.


In recent years, Krista’s focus has shifted to learning, leadership and strategic development. As Learning and Development Manager at Animal Logic, Krista was a pivotal member of the leadership team and drove program and curriculum development, mentorship, industry, education and government engagement.


She is currently the Head of Animation at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School.

Simon Whiteley

Animation Production Designer // Animal Logic

(Peter Rabbit, The LEGO Ninjago Movie, The Lego Movie, The Thin Red Line)


Simon Whiteley began his career in the early 1980's in television as a Graphic Designer. After moving to Australia in 1987, Simon began to work with Animal Logic as a consulting Art Director on many of the company's commercial projects. In 2003, Simon art directed George Miller's animated feature Happy Feet and following its success Simon went on to work as Production Designer on Zack Snyder's Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole.


His previous credits also include Babe, The Matrix, The Thin Red Line, Moulin Rouge!, Walking with Dinosaurs 3D and Concept Designer on The LEGO Movie. Simon was the Production Designer on The LEGO Ninjago Movie and the Animation Production Designer on Peter Rabbit.
