Sometimes, you come across a group of films that are all so different and yet still feel connected; To Each Their Own comprises of films just like these. While the assortment of stories in this program feel like a hodge-podge - a group of people who ceremoniously burn money, a school that trains butlers, an annual pigeon racing event - they all reflect two commonalities: a sense of communal identity and a strong slice-of-life. Each film covers what it means to be a part of a community, however small or odd it might be, and is a window into the world outside of the norm. If you like to hear about interesting people that live very different lives from your own, this is the program for you.

LGBTIQ people are no strangers to isolation. The film 'Lonesome' by Justice Khor is a documentary that explores the intersection of queerness and isolation. The film weaves together stories left as voice mails that talk about loneliness, seeking love and connection, and ultimately, self-acceptance.
