From the comic to the existential, the bizarre to the profound, RE:ANIMATION presents a selection of eclectic animations that is sure to stimulate the senses.

A woman with extreme anxiety is devoured by four major preoccupations – the man she met by chance on a train, her dying father, her daughter’s safety and the murder she dreams she has committed.

Beware of Trains

A young woman drawn in ink is forced to deal with paper breasts appearing on her chest. She must quickly come to terms with these new strange things. Her breasts lead her into increasingly unusual situations that reveal her deepest anxieties: the fear of becoming a woman, the apprehension of female rivalries, the taming of male desire, the worries related to becoming a mother and finally the fear of cancer and a loss of bearings. Boobs is both a comic and dark journey that explores a woman's love-hate relationship for her body and her femininity. It highlights the powerful symbolism that breasts evoke for everyone.

Una lives a quiet life with her hairy partner; the idyll is interrupted when, for unknown reasons, she starts feeling a peculiar anxiety about her own foot. G., who works on television, during his interview with a flock of plump ponies, is cursed by being spat on. Everything seems to be controlled by Faceless Man, who - to make matters worse – is probably acting in collusion with ponies.

Four old women, reflect on their memories of old times when they were young and how different the relationships between men and women were back then. Their voices merge into one single voice, that of the grandmother Vera, who tells her story in proper detail. A trip into grandmother’s youth and the memories of her intimate life illustrate the status of Slovenian women in the first half of the 20th century.

In a town of SouthEast Asia, at night, a drifter Yakuza is facing a bloody conflict with local gangs. During the fight, he encounters with a ghost called Krasue, a flying woman head with her guts exposed, and being followed by her because of his blood taste.
