After graduating from college, a second-gen Chinese-American revisits the places that defined each era of his life: early adolescence in the suburbs, fresh independence in a big city, and his ancestral hometown in China. Using the method of “method of loci,” or “memory palace technique,”  he captures the conflicting emotions and memories conjured by familiar spaces in each location, examined against the backdrop of his family lore. He then releases them through a loosely narrated experimental documentary: Memory Palace.
