In Greek mythology, the Meliae, or Meliai were nymphs of the ash tree.

Movie starts with an eight year old boy getting attracted by the beautiful singing of a nightingale that draws him deeper into the forest. While looking for the nightingale he falls down and hurts his legs. A little girl comes to his help and they make friendship. Through their conversation, movie progresses and discusses some important topics like preserving nature. What the eight year old boy experiences in this exchange is a new appreciation of the things around us. In the end the little girl with the name Meliae becomes one with the nature.
