Much like their parent State, each is a study in contrasts. Laid back, party-hard Austin is the home of the State Capital. Sophisticated, businesslike Dallas hosts the State Fair. Both cities lay claim to Stevie Ray Vaughan! Texas Monthly once stated that "Austin wishes all the rest of [Texas] would just go away, and Dallas pretends that none of the rest of [Texas] even exist." And yet, both cities weathered the COVID Pandemic together, start to finish, come what may. Yee-haw!
