Bernice Robinson, a beautician from South Carolina, was the first teacher in the Citizenship Education Schools that taught literacy in order to pass voter registration requirements in the South during the mid-1950s and 1960s.She taught adults to read and write as part of Citizenship, understanding that registering to vote and engaging people in the issues that affect their lives was a key step toward changing the system. This helped to set the stage for the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s.

In a mere 25 minutes, ‘Dehlight’ explores the lives of women living in a Delhi slum, with limited access to clean water and sufficient food. Watch two women from Australia and Nepal empower the slum’s women and children with education, self-esteem, new skills, and support through the art of fashion. ‘Dehlight’ is a must-see for all, as it demonstrates, with great heart, the power we all have within us to create positive change. While ‘Dehlight’ tackles poverty, malnutrition, and child labor, it equally spotlights empowerment, social good, and women supporting women.

When millions of Americans rise up after the shocking results of the 2016 U.S. presidential election our cameras are there and RESISTERHOOD is born. We follow a diverse group of fledgling and veteran activists as they fight for our civil rights on the streets and in the halls of power. RESISTERHOOD combines dynamic protest footage and the inspiring stories of five American patriots as they work to re-energize the resistance and encourage others to get involved and vote. Produced, directed, filmed and edited by women, RESISTERHOOD is a testament to the strength of ordinary Americans in this extraordinary time.
