Vestiges Filmmaker introduction
Vestiges (an archipelago)
Composed as a typology of islands, Vestiges (an archipelago) is a video essay that investigates humans’ insatiable demand for sand, the most extracted natural resource after water. A poetic narrative maze where colonialism, dredging machines or land reclamation projects emerge. A story of how sand is entangled in a global machine that has been named progress, constantly shaping how landscapes, natural resources or geo-political values are being assembled.

Ice, fire, earth, air and æther collide in this artistic, environmental and global feature which demands the viewer manifest their individual narrative, visually guided by compelling cinematography from our wildest lands.
Rewilding Honeybees
Rewilding Honeybees analyzes the human-nature relationship by presenting a fundamentally new approach to interacting with the natural world through the lens of the honeybee. It intends to change the way people see our role in ‘saving the bees’ and cultivating a more sustainable environment, through shifting our perspectives of what beekeeping actually means
Solar Echoes
The sun is reflected in an Andalusian thermo-solar power plant whose architecture reminds us of ancient alchemical engravings, like a sacred temple of the 21st century. From its radiance come the voices of an antimatter physicist and an ecofeminist evoking their reflections on collapse, time and energy.

A life insurance company uses an AI algorithm to determine the risk of a new applicant. The subsequent denial sparks a period of introspection for the individual in question.

Forever was created with the experimental technique of using LiDAR to capture real life moments and environments. The LiDAR unit used to acquire the footage was originally created for self-driving cars. This junction of technology and filmmaking intersects with the subject of the film. AI uses LiDAR to “see” humanity in accurate detail, but has resolution limitations. In both story and style, Forever explores the boundary of advanced technology and the human experience.
