INHERENT GOOD (feature film)

With artificial intelligence and automation eroding job security, and inequality skyrocketing globally, could there be a simple panacea for society's greatest challenges? Inherent Good introduces an increasingly popular grassroots policy, Universal Basic Income (UBI), as a vehicle to transform the economy into one that is thriving, sustainable, and centered around the well-being of all people.

Advancements in technology have allowed us to produce much more with a lot less – resulting in underemployment, weaker purchasing power, and proliferating social and economic injustice. Now the world is fighting a health pandemic, exposing the holes in our current safety nets, and leading us into an indefinite recession.

Inherent Good is a feature documentary that introduces an increasingly popular grassroots policy, Universal Basic Income (UBI), as a vehicle to transform the economy into one that is thriving, sustainable, and centered around the well-being of all people.

Featuring comedian Trae Crowder, a.k.a. “The Liberal Redneck”, and Andrew Yang, former U.S. presidential candidate, Inherent Good examines the policy of ‘no-strings-attached’ cash payments through diverse stories of perseverance from heartland Americans and firsthand accounts from participants in a groundbreaking basic income pilot program launched in Jackson.
